About the Founder
Hello, I am SonuHenry, the founder of the SonuHenry luxury fashion brand.
Fashion has been a part of my life since childhood. My father worked as a machinist of men’s and women’s jackets, and I would often accompany him to understand the fashion environment. This early exposure ignited a passion that has grown into a lifelong mission: to create the next big global luxury lifestyle brand.
I am a fashion design graduate from the University of the Arts London (London College of Fashion). Over the years, I’ve gained experience in fashion retail and developed a creative, business-minded approach to branding and design.
Currently, I balance part-time work while self-funding my brand development. My long-term focus is building SonuHenry through strategic licensing partnerships with reputable business organisations, creating a model that generates residual income and builds lasting brand equity.
I live in Hackney, London - one of the city’s most creative and diverse boroughs - which continues to inspire me daily.
The Meaning of SonuHenry
I was born “Herminder" (meaning “Temple of God”) but changed my name by Deed Poll to “Sonu Henry" to reflect both my Indian and British heritage.
Sonu meaning: Golden (my lifelong family nickname).
Henry Meaning: House Ruler.
SonuHenry meaning Together: “SonuHenry” means “Golden House Ruler."
The name represents my dual identity, combining tradition with modernity, and it underpins the brand philosophy of blending cultures into luxury design.

I believe in God in all faiths and hold the view that while “money comes and goes,” true legacy comes from building something that lasts beyond our lifetime.

I draw inspiration from both the UK and India.
- Music: Punjabi rap, English rap, Punjabi folk, Geet and Ghazals, Hindi love songs, Bollywood and Hollywood soundtracks.
- Sports: Snooker, Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennis and Golf.
- Design: British and Indian luxury vintage furniture, and luxury flowers, luxury and antique cars, and British-Indian cross-cultural architecture.
- Lifestyle: Indian gold, Arabian fragrances, British, Indian, Italian, and Japanese cuisines.
- Reading: Fashion cultures, fashion branding, corporate finance, investment banking, M&A, and business ethics.
This fusion of cultures and interests reflects the SonuHenry aesthetic: “classic westernwear fused with minimalist British-Indian inspired patterns and luxury detailing.”

Registered Trademark: UK Trademark No: UK00004243192 (Class 25 – clothing, footwear, headwear). Future registrations are planned for Classes 14 (jewellery, watches), 9 (eyewear), and 3 (fragrances), with additional registrations in India via the Madrid Protocol System and internationally.
